2019 Geneva Motor Show : Bugatti’s La Voiture Noire
March 6, 2019
Bugatti just unveiled its most exquisite, elegant and expensive car at the ongoing Geneva Motor Show. The Bugatti La Voiture Noire, is brand’s most expensive production ever and is also brand’s way of paying homage to Jean Bugatti’s iconic Type 57 SC Atlantic. Bugatti strategically pleased number of pictures and video teasers over a course of time. The build up led to the official unveiling of the new car at the motor show.
The La Voiture Noire sports a mean and aggressive styling upfront. The one off gets a more pronounced grille than either the Veyron or the Chiron. The headlights protrudes sharply and recede back above the wheel arches rather than being placed horizontally over the bumper. The rear of the car pose a striking resemblance to the likes of McLaren and Aston Martin. While the tailing running across the rear is quite similar to the McLaren P1, the large grille has similar design structure of the likes of Aston Martin. The car overall sports an aggressive styling.
All this bodywork lists above an 8.0 litre, 16 cylinder engine which produces an astonishing 1500 hp of power. The Voiture Noire is priced at €11 million (approximately Rs. 88 crore), making it possibly the most expensive Bugatti production. The car is however, being sold to an unknown buyer who is said to be a Bugatti enthusiast. Spotting any Bugatti on a daily basis is an event on its own, so spotting the La Voiture Noire in itself is unnatural.
