Suzuki has launched the updated Gixxer 250 for the year 2019. Priced at Rs. 1.71 lakh, the Gixxer SF 250 made its debut next to its younger Suzuki Gixxer SF 150 at an event. The 2019 variant brings a new aggressive Gixxer design on the table when compared to its predecessor.
The major revision comes in the form of front headlights, which are majorly sharp and protrudes outwards. The design overall has also evolved onto an aggressive and agile package. The fairing, tank and tail appear proportionate and feature a smooth flowing design that is not overly aggressive. Other features like short windscreen, gold-coloured finish on the engine casing, clip-on handlebar and chrome-tipped double barrel exhaust adds to the overall appeal of the bike.
Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 is powered by a 249 cc, single cylinder, SOHC oil cooled engine which produces 26.5 hp of power at 9,000 rpm and 22.6 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm. The bike comes with dual channel ABS as standard.
The Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 goes up against the likes of Yamaha Fazer 25 (Rs. 1.44 lakh), Honda CBR250R ABS (Rs. 1.95 lakh), KTM RC 200 (Rs. 1.90 lakh), Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 (Rs. 1.39 lakh) and the Bajaj Dominar 400 (Rs. 1.74 lakh).
