BMW’s highly anticipated performance SUV’s namely, BMW X5 M Competition and BMW X6 M Competition, pictures got leaked. The leaked images shows the two cars on BMW’s assembly line. The Competition will be the range topping BMW variant in both the cars. While the camouflaged variants were spied testing sometime back, the leaked shows the two in flesh. Both, the car gets ‘M’ badging and treatment on the exterior which includes sportier bumpers with larger air intakes at the front and a new rear diffuser with quad-exhaust tips. The two also sports a blacked out ploy wheels along with ‘M’ bits and badging. The interior continues the sportier treatment like sports seats, an Alcantara steering wheel with dedicated ‘M’ buttons, carbon fibre trim and ‘M’ badging in the cabin.
Both the cars are said to be powered by a 4.4 litre, twin turbo V8 petrol engine paired to 8 speed torque convertor automatic gearbox which is seen in the M5 sedan. The two will also sport M xDrive all-wheel-drive system. Both the cars will produce 600 hp of tower, with the Competition package further enhancing the car to 620 hp of power. Anchoring the mammoths will be carbon-ceramic disc brakes. The X5 M and X6 M will surface globally towards the end of 2019, and will most likely come to India in the second quarter of 2020. The BMW X5 M rivals the Mercedes-AMG GLE 63, while the X6 M competes with the GLE 63 Coupe.
