BMW has launched its updated flagship series in India. Tagged as the 7, BMW has launched the new 2019 7 Series and the flagship X7. With the prices starting at Rs.1.22 crores (ex showroom) for the 7 Series and Rs. 98.9 lakh (ex showroom) for the X7. The 7 Series is offered in six trims while the X7 is received with two variants. The two models will be offered with a choice of 3.0 litre six cylinder petrol and diesel engines with the X7 additionally getting a range topping 400 hp M50d variant.

The 7 Series is offered with a choice of 3 litre six cylinder petrol and diesel engines. The diesel dishes out 265 bhp of power while the petrol churns out 340 hp of power. Both the engine comes mated to an 8 speed automatic. Alongside the standard variant, the 7 Series is also offered in a hybrid setup. The 745Le is powered by an inline, six cylinder petrol engine coupled with electric motor which produces a combined output of 394 hp of power and 600 Nm of peak torque. Rounding the 7 Series is the range topping high-performance M760Li xDrive, which gets a 6.6 litre twin-turbocharged V12 petrol motor producing mammoth 585 hp of power and 850 Nm.

On the other hand, the X7 gets a 3.0 litre straight-six, turbo petrol engine that puts out 340 hp of power and 450 Nm of torque. While the diesel counter part produces 265 hp of power and 620 Nm of torque. Both the engines get an 8 speed automatic setup.

The BMW X7 will take on the likes of Mercedes Benz GLS, Audi Q7 and Volvo XC90. While, the 7 series will go head on with Mercedes Benz S Class, Audi A8, Volvo S90 and Jaguar XJL.
