A patent filed by the Honda two wheeler showcases the use of temperature regulated seats for the bike. The application is similar to what has been utilised in cars. According to the reports filed, Honda has not only developed the technology but has also implemented the same on the bike. The technology works on the basis of perforation air channel which can be managed and handled by an external switch mounted on the bike’s handlebar. The bike will use a revised seat material, which will be made of a plastic mesh material to allow air to flow through it while still being resistant to the elements. The Japanese brand is said to showcase this technology in 2020 and will possibly be implemented with its flagship GoldWing crosier first. The technology will slowly iterate into more mass oriented bikes which will take another couple of years.
