Honda organised India’s first ‘Africa Twin True Adventure Camp’ close to the Damdama Lake, Haryana. The event included theoretical and practical lessons spearheaded by Vijay Parmar, president, Himalayan Motorsport Association, who lectured 20 riders on basic training for off road riding. The camp will soon be hosted in several other cities starting from Mumbai, Bangalore and Kochi, while other cities will be added to the list soon. The intent of these camps is to help Africa Twin owner grasp the utility and knowledge of their motorcycle’s Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) and four riding modes – Tour, Urban, Gravel and User. The bike is powered by a 999 cc, liquid cooled, parallel twin motor which produces 89 hp of power at 7,500 rpm and 93.1 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. The engine comes mated to a six speed dual clutch automatic transmission.
