The National Highway Transportation and Safety Administration (NHTSA) of the USA has issued a massive recall for the 2019 Indian Scout, Scout Bobber and Scout Sixty motorcycles. The affected models recalled in the range is manufactured between the time period starting from March 1, 2018, till October 31, 2018. The recall report states that around 2,072 units are likely to be affected. The recall was made on susceptible potential ABS issue. According to the reports, the Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), manufactured under the timeline didn’t meet the quality standards. The brake fluid in this mechanism generates air bubbles during the application of the brake which can lead to braking failure. This also results in decrement of brake lever application making it a softer application on use. Customers have already been informed about the issue and are offered free replacement. Things however, needs to be seen if the same issue arises on the models for Indian market.
