Operations at the newly launched Jawa seems to be going on full swing. With the company recently commencing the delivery of the Jawa and Jawa Forty Two to its customers. At the time of the launch of the brand, the company revealed an ambitious target of operating over a 100 dealerships across in India in a limited time. The company seems to be on track, as it announced with its latest tweet announcing operation of the 100th showroom opening later this week. The dealerships will be opening in Tirupati, Hubli, Jamshedpur and Tinsukia, taking the total number of dealerships past the 100 mark. Jawa has managed to hit its mark in just 4 months, with the inception being in Pune.
Both, the Jawa and the Jawa Forty Two are powered by the same 293 cc, liquid cooled, single cylinder, DOHC engine that produces 27 hp of power and 28 Nm of peak torque. Recently the bike revealed and ARAI certified fuel efficiency figure of 37.5 kpl. The Jawa comes with a starting ex showroom price tag of Rs. 1.64 lakh while the Forty Two governs an ex showroom cost of Rs. 1.55 lakh. The bikes are offered with an option of single as well as dual channel ABS, with the latter being pricer by Rs. 8,000.
