Mahindra reported that the brand’s latest mini SUV, XUV300 has officially crossed 25,000 production mark. The company was able to reach the milestone within first six months of production of the XUV300, this goes to show the brand’s popularity amongst customers in this segment. The bookings for the 25,000 mark was achieved sometime in the month of May 2019.
The XUV300 is available in four variants – W4, W6, W8 and W8(O) with the choice of two engine options : a 1.5 litre, four cylinder diesel engine seen on the Mahindra Marazzo, which produces 123 bhp of power and 300 Nm of torque, and, a 1.2 litre, turbo petrol engine. The engines comes paired with a 6 speed manual transmission, and diesel gets an additional choice of 6 speed AMT. The XUV300 is also said to make an all electric version by mid of year 2020. The XUV300 competes against the likes of Ford EcoSport, Tata Nexon and Vitara Brezza.
