In an attempt to improve the ownership experience of customers, Maruti Suzuki has launched a new ‘Service On Wheels’ initiative. The programme essentially utilises Maruti’s new mobile ‘smart workshops’ which comes equipped with modern tools and equipments. The smart service helps to service customers vehicle at the time of need and away from the service centre. Minute services can be carried out by the programme availing the portable options. This helps in increasing customers convince and saves them time. The services provided are in terms of both free and paid, and can carry out in the form of minor repairs, under-body inspections, oil changes, and filter cleans, among other jobs. According to the brand, the new service will add onto the already existing extensive service network which consists of over 3,600 workshops across 1,800 towns and cities in India.
