The Japanese giants have launched the V-Strom 650 XT ABS in India. The new Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT ABS is an all terrain motorcycle which will be brought to India via CKD route for localised assembly. The new V-Strom is priced at Rs. 7.46 lakh (ex showroom).
The updated V-Strom gets a 4 cylinder, liquid cooled, DOHC, 90 degree V twin engine that has a total displacement of 645 cc. The engine is offered with three mode traction control system, 2 mode and Off mode. Addition of ABS technology complies with the new safety standards while enhancing safety and addition of saree guard and front number plate bracket are included as a part of standard safety equipment.
The Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT ABS sports borrows its inspiration from DR-Z and DR-BIG. It has a well designed head and tail lamps. It has a sleek chiseled fuel tank and gets Suzuki Easy Start System which allows to start the engine at the press of a button. The bike is fitted with BATTLAX ADVENTURE A40 tyres for enhanced road grip and gets three position windscreen adjustment. The console features a multi function instrument panel with all rider information aids which includes a speedometer, odometer, fuel gauge, coolant temperature indicator and gear position indicator. The Suzuki V-Strom 650XT ABS also gets a 12V DC charger outlet as standard. The split analog and digital screen also displays information on battery voltage and traction control modes.
The Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT ABS is the third bike to be assembled in India after Hayabusa and GSX-S750. The new V-Strom is offered in two colour options of Champion Yellow Colour No. 2 and Pearl Glacier White. The V-Strom competes head on with Kawasaki Versys 650 which is priced at 6.69 lakh (ex showroom).
