Video – Brilliant Teaser sets up mood for 2019 Factory Yamaha Team launch

Factory Yamaha team would like to forget that the 2018 MotoGP season ever took place. In what was Yamaha’s worst winless drought of 25 races in a row, the 2018 season showed how lost the whole M1 development process had become. The year’s only silver lining of sorts for the Japanese maker arrived in the form of Vinales’s victory at the Phillip Island circuit. With the M1 just not wanting to have to do anything with saving its rear tyre, the Yamaha factory duo of Rossi and Vinales suffered a horrendous year waiting for a miracle to happen. Now, with an all new season at our doors, the fans of the sport can only hope that M1 has found its mojo back. May be that’s why there is emphasis on the dark world in the just released teaser for 2019 Factory Yamaha Team launch.

The video teaser that you can watch below gives us a first idea of how the all-new 2019 Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP team livery might look like. Having lost Movistar as the title sponsor last year, Yamaha found Monster energy take up the void left. This fairs well of the energy brand that has vastly been overshadowed by Red Bull on and off the track. However, Monster energy has pulled a one up on Red Bull by making sure that the sport’s biggest name, Valentino Rossi, will go out wearing its colours through the season. The teaser gives us an idea that the all-new livery under a new title sponsor might be closer to the iconic yellow-black theme. With the ‘yellowish-green’ colour of the Monster Energy drink being the only thing we get to see clearly in the video teaser, it is safe to assume that it will be of prominence on the new livery.

Also, at the exactly 20-second mark, we can see Vale’s M1 have a completely yellow front. This should be enough to make every Vale fan out there to desperately wait for the February 4 Launch of the 2019 Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP team.
