Xiaomi Launches Electric Moped In China

Chinese electric giant, Xiaomi which primarily focuses on producing upbeat, flashy smartphones and smart devices for home utility has stepped up and launched an in house produced electric moped. Badged as the Xiaomi Himo T1 electric moped, which is already for sale in China with a price tag of 2,999 Chinese Yuan (Rs 31,110) and is expected to reach potential buyers in China from June 4, 2019. The company managed to raise a substantial 84,51,182 Chinese Yuan (Rs 8.76 crore) as part of the fundraiser it started for the Himo T1.

The electric moped uses a motor rated at 350 W powered battery which kicks out 48V unit rated at 14Ah. This gives the scooter a range of said 60 kms. An additional of 28 Ah battery pack can extend the range further to 120 kms. A front disc and rear drum setup helps anchoring the moped. Suspension on the Himo H1 is taken care of by a telescopic fork and twin shock absorbers. The electric moped uses a full LED lighting and an all digital instrument cluster. Information like battery percentage, speed and time are displayed on the cluster.
